I have an 80 vanagon ASI Riviera camper with the gas heater. It worked according to the PO but was not working when I purchased the vehicle a year and a half ago. I have been told that parts are almost impossible to get. I would like to get it working. It seems like a chore to remove the shroud from the bottom of the van and then try to assess the problem. I am a do-it-yourselfer for the most part. Any ideas/suggestions? I also have the built-in propane heater and cannot get the pilot to stay lit. It worked great last winter but not this year. Is it just a matter of replacing the copper wire that sits in the pilot flame? Thanks. --Bruce
