aw, you guys can't spell!!! sheesh!!

it's spelled FORESAIL!!
it's the lower sail on the foreyard on the foremast of the foreboat!!!
just behind the forestaysail which is behind the jib which is behind
the flying jib, which is above the turkey jiblets. sometimes set abaft
the foremast on a scooner, as in "abaft, me hearties!".
all of which is usually above the forecastle, which is pronounced
Foc'sel, which is where you go to get foc'd on a boat. as opposed to
the aftcastle, which is abaft of the fore, which makes it the stern or
rear of the boat. from whence commeth the expression "dragging your
castle", often shortened to 'dragging your cast', which means you're
wallowing by the stern. you can see a lot of this on the freeways and
interstates in or near big cities.

all of which is not to be confused with foreskene or foreskeane, both
different and not the same. one is a dagger you wear in the front
(which makes sitting down a real adventure, cause it might cut your
other foreskin) and the other is the first bunch of frightened ducks
or geese that fly up out of the marshes and lakes when your labrador
retriever farts too loudly while you're duck/goose hunting. in good
weather. on a boat. with a foresail.
