Subject: Syncro de Mayo is here! (van sightings)
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=iso-8859-1

As a resident of Hollister CA, it's pretty rare to see vans around here save the 5 or 6 other vans that live here too. Also, being an 18 year old vanagon freak, I get pretty excited to see any van pass me, as it's a pretty rare occasion around here. Well it was probably the most exciting moment of my life (well this month anyways) to pass by 2 beautiful (syncro?) westies loaded with all the offroading-camping goods. And to top it off I got a wave and lights from both of them! I felt like that kid in that WWII movie (Empire of the Sun?) on the rooftop yelling at the P-51's fly by... Then I remembered what tomorrow is and that I live 5 miles from Hollister Hills. I'm kicking myself for not signing up even though I've only got a lowly GL... So to all of you out of towners that are at or going to syncro de mayo, welcome to Hollister! Elliot '88 GL
