Digifant 2 has ignition knock control. It's possible the knock sensor is bad. It must not be overtorqued.

You will have to keep trying with the distributor , prying with two flat balde screwdrivers. Soak the area with penetrating fluid first.

Digifant 2 advance and retard is set by moving the distributor. It's Motronic where turning the distributor has no effect on engine rpm.

Check the static setting first, the knock sensor, the cam belt setting before moving the dist.
