Go to Autozone. Tell them you want to borrow two tools: "OEM" brand #27033 (slide hammer) and #27059 (pilot bearing puller). They will give them to you and charge you about $40. Go home and pull the bearing. Then take the tools back and get your $40 back. This is their normal tool loan service - I just did this to pull a pilot bearing on a different car.

More notes: The puller screws onto the end of the slide hammer - do that while you're still in the store to make sure it works, because sometimes the threads on the hammer are beat up. The hole in the puller looks like it's too big to fit on the hammer, but it necks down a little further inside - the puller is made to fit two different sized slide hammers.
