Hey all, this is from a friend of mine who is not on the list. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks, Brien

Here is what is happening.

When I turn the key on my 84 vanagon the fuel pump does not activate. If I go back to the fuel pump relays and ground out the the coil of the first relay(the one to the right when facing them from the rear of the van)the fuel pump will run but will not cut out. Also the van will not fire up while doing this. It also will not engage the other relay when you are cranking the van over. I am not sure what to look at at this point.

B
