This switch is only there to increse the idle when the PS drags the engine speed down. If you are not seeing this problem don't worry about it. The Digijet fuel system has no way of adjusting the idle. When this is required VW used a throattle bypass valve. You will see these valves on 84- 85 vanagons with air. Joe.
