Having just reinstalled my interior (everything but
the evaporator and hoses, the rear heater and the
digifant box was removed) my advice is: rear closet
and cabinets and curtain trays right and left can
stay, but the overhead cabinet that contains the
evaporator must come out, as must the tan A/C vent
enclosure thingy.
Once the evaporator and brackets are in place, I
raised the overhead cabinet by blocking it up with
milk crates and lumber to get it close enough so that
I could connect all wiring and other attachments.
Then a friend helped boost the cabinet up so the
attaching screws could be installed. Then the vent
enclosure can be reinstalled. Few tools and very
little strong language required. Good luck.
