After some low speed chugging on some dirt roads, the coolant got hot enough to warp the plastic hose couplings I used further, causing them to leak yet again. So, I searched around town here in Flastaff and found some super beefy galvanized steel couplers at Ace Hardware. An afternoon later, and it's fixed right... well, at least, more right. Upon inspection, the plastic coupler was very deformed and it's clear why it leaked. I was suprised, at first, since I used the same plastic unit on my other van, and it has been solid from the get go... but in thinking about it more, that van has always run much cooler than my older Westy, which I've suspected could use a new radiator. Thanks again for all the help. James |
