Lets just say that you may not want to have it on when you are trying
to sleep. At least that's the case with my 1800. I've heard the 2000 is
a tad quieter. Not nearly as quiet as the Platinum Cat catalytic heater
I once had. There was a tiny fan inside for the exhaust vent.
