I have seen many throwout bearing cross shafts (inside the bell housing) that are worn badly and are crooked to boot... An eneven shaft can cause some chatter. I resurface and level them out typically. ..And don't ever use a cheeeep aftermarket crossshaft...They are soft and wear out in a year..Good used or dealer new only...
