Great running waterboxer with 109,000 verified miles, just pulled a month ago from a Syncro that was converted to Audi five-cylinder. The engine is complete with wiring harness, ECU (one extra included), AFM, airbox, starter, waterboxer bell housing, exhaust, rebuilt alternator, etc. Ready to plug right into any Vanagon '83.5-on.

This engine also has ratio rockers installed and the exhaust is the aftermarket header system, the combination makes a noticeable increase in power. The cylinder heads were replaced about 10K ago with new AMC heads and the gaskets of course, so the engine won't have the traditional head gasket issues for a long time. Compression was 140-150 in all cylinders and it used no oil or coolant.

The engine is located between Frederick and Baltimore MD. Asking price for everything $950. Please , contact the owner, Richard, at 410-967-3025 or email rcloper2@mac.com.

Feel free to cross-post this to the Syncro yahoo-group, anyone. Thanks!

Karl
