From The American Dream Coalition:

"Despite the success of controlling pollution at the tailpipe, some people want to reduce pollution by discouraging people from driving."

"In 1996, the Environmental Protection Agency started a "transportation partners" program that gave millions of dollars to anti-automobile groups to try to reduce the amount of driving Americans do."

If your read on (http://www.americandreamcoalition.org/pollution/pollution.html)

You find information that is contrary to your advocating using less gas or lowering speed limits to lower consumption.

I already use less gas in my Vanagon, and did before prices went up. Lately I have only been putting in $20.00 at a time ( about 6 gallons). I make that last a week. How much gas does Al Gore burn???????

If driving a Vanagon makes you feel guilty- PUUULEEEEEZE don't make me or the rest of us guilty too!

All of this mad science is beginning to make me mad enough to put a steam engine in my Westfalia.

You have to burn something unless you want to turn the clock back to before man discovered fire.

We all need energy to survive. If energy is outlawed, then only volcanoes will have guns.
