I was in the same position, I retired and took a 4month trip after I became an "ex" It was the best thing I possibly could have done. Meeting the people in this community gave me a whole new outlook on what seemed like a very bleak future. Through email I connected with " Benny Boy " at Fort DeSoto tis was a great intro into the Vanagon community. I wonder how many others have done the same thing ? I agree with David spending time alone in a Vanagon really shows you what you need to be happy and what you don't.
