I can't say enough good things about the Propex but if you want to keep it
simple, yes that little Mr Heater (http://www.mrheater.com/) works pretty
well but the only thing I would use it for is to take the "chill" out of the
van. They are un-vented and I personally would not leave it on unattended
while going to sleep though I know of some listmembers that do.  The up side
is these things do turn themselves off pretty early when it senses low
oxygen.

I'd be interested if anyone has rigged one of these up for their vans:
