Hey all,

Took about a 200 mile round trip yesterday in my friend's '86 Syncro Vanagon. It's developed a cut-out issue mostly on the freeway. Seems to be related to a change in gas pedal height, but not entirely. The van will jerk as the engine cuts out and the rpms drop, then kick back on and all is back to normal. Happening over just a spit second. Was thinking maybe fuel pump, but many other options came to mind.... OX sensor, AFM, vanagon syndrome. I told him to go through and clean all his engine grounds first.

Thanks for any help,

Andrew
