Do you mean the zetec and the TDCi? They aren't, that sounds like the old GM v8 gas to diesel conversion... bad bad plan.

The 1.8 and the 2.0 tdci's aren't even the same family engine, the 1.8 is a DLD the 2.0 is a ZSD from PSA but made in the Dagenham plant for Ford exclusively.. the zetec series 3 was made in the Brigend engine plant, so aside from being british made, they don't share anything but applications.
