> Words cannot explain how much I want this van. Sigh. Looks like a good truck. Typical high quality Westfalia fit and finish inside. Price seems reasonable. That turbo diesel 6 may be enough for a truck of that size. I drove an older LT with a NA 5 cylinder diesel, lets just say it made my 82 diesel westy seem positively Fast. Those LTs are a lot more 'truck like' than our vanagons, so it's a trade off. You don't get all that room, and there's lots of it, without sacrificing drivability. I've used my vanagon as a daily driver in the past, I would never consider doing that with an LT. On the other hand, a long term trip in an LT westy would be a comfortable - even luxurious experience :) Taking a shower, whenever I wanted. Dare to dream. Gary Lee |
