Hi Loren, I suspect that the answer will vary by jurisdiction, but as I understand it the law here in Ontario says they DO have to pay out a claim. After the fact, however, they will have you over a barrel and you can be assured that you will pay through the nose (or some other more sensitive orifice) the next time your policy comes due. Or you might be denied coverage under anything but "facility", which is outrageou$ly expen$ive.
