I was told (by dealership) that the rear brake pads on Honda Accords were actually **reduced** in size in subsequent model years. To save money of course! Don't know if this would apply to a VW product or make a diff. Is there some kind of proportioning valve (or similar) that limits hydrualic pressure to rear calipers? I know my 81 Westy has one! If so could that valve(s) be faulty? "Fawlty! ........ Basil!" I digress...... Neil.
