This won't answer your question but......

In dealing with slider door maintenance/repair recently, I too noticed there were blocks instead of bearings on my AC Westy.

To my mind, they *might* be superior in that one could likely make a slider block (out of Teflon??) when it wears out. Likely would save some dough. I understand the roller bearings are pricey and an aftermarket bearing solution may not fit well.

Just my .02 Cnd.
