Here's my $33 million benefit ...

We're both techno-weenies. Software geeks. You get the idea. What we each do to earn pretty good money is quite far removed from Real Life.

We live in SoCal, which is a wildfire/earthquake risk area. In addition to being our camping enabler, our 'Esme' is our emergency escape/survival vehicle. So we feel secure in her, since we have planned to make that so.

Often by the time a Sunday evening rolls around, I've simply had enough of the "cultivated life". I find it refreshing to go sit for an hour or so in 'Esme' (parked, though she may be). She offers us a pleasntly simpler place which isn't laden with "cultivated" distractions.

She's our meditation place, simply by the way we've set her up! :-D
