        While we're on the subject  of those pesky instrument bulbs what are
any of you doing for the bulb &  socket replacement of the two heater switches
?    I have  NEVER been able to find a source for these.  VW does not have
them any  longer.  So what I've been doing is ripping out the bulb that was
welded in  the socket and fitting a new bulb but it's Micky Mouse and hard to get
the  proper contact with the two little contact feet !
