the earlier vanagon westys used a real metal key in a lock for the water tank, (my ex-'86 westy used a real key in a lock cyl) the later westys just used a little tiny plastic "key" thing.(my '91 westy has this little black plastic "key"). just looks more like a small plastic widget than a key..lol anyway im sure some of the new parts vendors sell them.. i was fortunate enough to have it with my 91.. looks really fragile..i tried it and you just stick it in the hole and turn it one half turn.. any more pressure will prolly snap the damn thing off..

i'll prolly bend a piece of metal welder's rod and use it as a key for fear of snapping the original one off..
