Subject: 1985 VW Vanagon - clutch jump
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=iso-8859-1

My daily driver has developed a slight bounce when you engage the clutch say for 1st gear or reverse.

If you rev. engine then engage clutch, it's very smooth.

When I last inspected my flywheel, had a bad pilot bearing then due to a transmission mainshaft bearing failure, my flywheel surface was smooth...

Any ideas...this is not too noticeable and I'll drive w/ it IF it's not causing further damage somewhere....

Larry
