Thanks, Dan. Unfortunately, fabulous Marin County where I live has no junkyards---a HUGE AND DISTURBING downside to living here. I don't want to drive over a $5 toll bridge and spend $8 in gas getting to a junkyard for a $2 part. The stock switch will do nicely since I'm wiring a light over the slider with a three way switch like the dome in the front. Car alarm install places have them but they are pretty cheesy quality---worse than the VW ones.
