We have a 98 V70R AWD. It goes like lightning...so does the money to keep it on the road. Mostly the electrical has been an issue, but the engine, like the wind when the high pressure turbo kicks in.

This is the 3rd and last Volvo Wagon I will own, but not because of the engines...they are a rock, granite.

I guess it's the weight and shape of the 2.3 4cyl turbo engine that nobody has done a conversion with this motor. I'm talking the 88 vintage. I literally could not kill that thing and it passed smog easily, sold it with almost 200K. I saw it years later, still going strong.

Any comments on the conversion...ever tried?
