Friday isn't over until Monday. And there are lots of messages about Volvos. I wanna say something about my Volvo too.

Mine is a Bertone Coupe and it was made in Italy in 1980. There were about or less than 1000 of them imported in that year. It is a beefed up 240/260 but with the roof lowered by about 5 inches. All windows and windshilds are smaller. It has a V6 waterbox (no, no it's not a wasserbox) engine made in France. The cylinders can be pulled out when the heads are removed. It was made for people like god fathers. I somehow got one by mistake. I am no god father.

As of today the engine is just about totaled at only 80k miles. There is absolutely no rust anywhere and the paint is like new. I have had acquired a used but excellent OEM windshield for replacement. There is not going to be another one anywhere any more. This Volvo will need a complete rebuild on just about everything except the chassis.

I will be looking for an engine conversion for it (not Vanagon). It will probably be a big block v8. In the past 10 years I wasn't able to enjoy it much. Once I put in a V8 I am going the drive the hell out of it then sell it....

Next time I buy a car I will avoid the V letter followed by an o. A V followed by a W is fine but not an o.

Friday is officially over now.

David
