i have a '84 GL partsmobile with a roofrack and hatch ladder. both were taken off some american minivan and bolted to the vanagon. the rear hatch ladder was cool, thats been sold.. but the roof rack was bolted to the roof and since its from a american minivan, and not really for the vanagon, its not really worth anything as you have to permanantly attatch it to the roof metal..(drilling)

sounds like what you have was pulled off another minivan in a junkyard or something...
