Hi all,

I've been playing around with an aftermarket alarm, and I'm slowly getting everything connected (like the aftermarket central locking and suchlike). The thing I'm stuck with is the disabling relay - I can't find anything in the cab (I'm hoping to avoid running wires to the engine bay) that looks like it would disable the van, but has small capacity wires. I don't want to run the starter circuit through a 30a relay :o) I'm thinking that in a perfect world, it would be something that would allow the van to turn over, but not start, that way the potential thief thinks "POS Volkswagen" and heads off to steal somebody else's vehicle. I figure if the engine doesn't even turn over, he'll know there's something stopping it, and look for that. I'm not fitting a siren at the moment, as I figure they don't help, they just irritate people.

There's been some talk recently about secret disable switches, but where are people cutting into the loom?
