Paul-

thanks this is very helpful. I take it from this description that it's not possible to get at the back side or the hoses?

I was thinking if I pulled the headlights but thought they are sitting kind of high on the front end so maybe I'd need to get at them from the dash side.

First try cleaning/aiming the spay nozzle hole with a safety pin or other similar small poker item.

If that doesn't work, you can replace the nozzles. There is no easy way to remove old brittle front windshield ones without breaking them. (rear hatch ones can be removed easier if the inside panel is off)

You can get new window washer "jets" from the dealer or BusDepot.com if yours are plugged up. Part number 211 955 993 Your dealer may have to special order them, but they are not that expensive. (around $5.00 each)

Best to order new ones first so you can see how they mount before removing the old ones.

To remove the front nozzles, bite them with good vice grips and carefully twist and pull them out. If you have a thin plastic scraper you can try and depress the barbs once pulled away a bit, but they will come out by carefully pulling and twisting with your vice grip.

Be very careful so the clear fluid hose doesn't come off and fall into the body, if so, you will be in a pickle.

Once you have the jets off the body (barbs free), pull them out a couple inches.

Now roll back the rubber donut and carefully unhook the clear hose again making sure the hose doesn't fall into the body. If the end of the hose has hardened just cut it off (assuming you have enough length to do so) to make installation easier of the new jet.

You may want to test to washer pump before you put on the new jets. If fluid comes out of the hose without a jet installed you know the blockage was in your old jet. If you don't get any fluid then you have a problem somewhere else.

After you put the gasket, hose, and donut onto the new jet simply press it into the body until it snaps. Then align the spray as desired with a small safety pin.
