I looked at a Vanagon tach meter I got from a junkyard. The tach meter has 4 pins but the connector has only 3 connections. There is one that has no connection.

I have wanted to convert my 84's to have a tach. But the temperature and fuel level gauges need to be moved . How are they moved and attached to new positions? I guess I need to remove my instrument cluster out of the van to figure it out.

Where did you get the tach signal from? Do you have to get it all the way from the coil?

David
