With the Bar's Leak "Head Gasket Repair" and other similar products, you have to remove all the old coolant or you'll end up with a bunch of green goo. Maybe that's what you were recalling. Not so with the Subaru product. *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* Catching up with the list sporadically as I do, I missed (and can't find in previous digests) the thread regarding the Subaru coolant conditioner.... I think I have detected the very slightest hint of a weep from one head gasket (no drips or coolant loss yet) and was wondering if this Subie product might be worth a go before it gets any worse. My engine recently clocked over 300,000kms and I would rather not look at replacing a head gasket just now when the engine, although showing no other signs of it's age, will obviously need attention at some stage before too long. Anyway, any info on the coolant conditioner and it's suitability for the wasserboxer engine would be greatly appreciated.
