I have a Gary Lee hatch setup which can carry up to 4 bikes. I like it alot, however, given it all to do over again, I would go with the 2" receiver hitch and the Yakima swing away deal I think. 4 mtn bikes on the hatch makes it a bear to lift up/open. I tend to have more bikes on there than I used to, so for me it's becoming more of an issue. GoWesty is considering coming out with a rear bumper modified (sticks out a few inches further than their current ones) to house an integrated receiver hitch. It's only talk at this point, but as soon as they do I'll swap out my current setup and probably go that route. The other issue I have it that I cant carry any of those weird Cannondale Lefty Mtn Bikes with my fork skewer setup. -tim 90 syncro westy gilbert, az www.timschneider.org |
