Well, I'm looking to start making some plans for the parts bus and I have a few questions. First I plan to eventually rebuild the 2.1 motor from the 86' and have it on hand for when I need it for the 90'. I'd like to pull it out - my questions are these. 1) Should I pull it now or just leave it in the bus until I am ready to attempt the rebuild? 2) What is the best way to safely (meaning with very little spillage) drain the cooling system? A non motor related question is this. Shortly before the 86' decided to take a long rest I had changed the rear wheel cylinders and put new shoes and pads on. Nopw I really wouldn't consider reusing the shoes and pads, but the wheel cylinders have very littel use - maybe 1500 miles. Are they worth taking off and keeping to use when needed as well? Should I drain all the fluids or is it better for preservation to leave them in everything? I apprecaite any advice. -- Thanks, Jeff 90' Carat (It's Blue, It's Beautiful. Now sporting a very unstylish brown interior taken from the parts bus) 86' (We call this one Parts) 85' GL (Sidelined and feeling neglected) |
