I let the hot van sit for a few days before finding the courage to see if it would turn over or run (briefly). And it's several weeks since then. I'm back in Portland long enough to do the waterpump, shifter, deal with the jammed lower speedo cable, etc.. Lifters: ATF/Mystery Oil/Light oil-solvent to add to my oil temporarily... thanks! I'll hope the vile noise goes away. I'll also change the oil and filter again. Yes, one black wire from the O2 sensor. But the green harness wire the PO fudged the black wire to has *two* sets of strands in it. Loose strands and an inner green-covered stranded wire. Do I connect the single black sensor wire to the loose strands, the covered strands, or both?
