This is the cap problem that has been discussed here before. The old style cap and new style cap will both fit on your 1.9 distributor. It is highly advisable to use the cap and wires with the threaded pins as you call them. Much better connection. BUT do not use the wires for the old cap on the new cap. This will cause you untold grief and you never find it until you come see me !
