By "grills" on top of the stove, I mean the metal grills that are supposed to hold the pots and pans up off the burner so that the flames can come out. The dang space in the center of those wire grills, or "Pot supports" (that sounds more vintage VW van..) is so big that my coffee pot slips through, my espresso maker sits right on the burner, even my fry pan is too small to be fully supported by the "grills" So today I took a piece of flat aluminum stock, bout 1/2" wide, and bent some hooks into the ends..I can spring these hooks down over the grill, adding another center support to hold up the cooking utensils.. I must be lucky with my fridge. It stays lit even in strong cross winds when driving.... Don Hanson |
