Follow the POR-15 instructions. Get all flakey rust off. Clean with the Marine Clean, rinse with water and dry. Etch with the Metal Ready, 15 ~ 30 minutes, rinse with water and dry. Apply POR-15, two light coats. Second coat when first tacks up. Watch for runs & drips. The more humidity in the atmosphere the quicker the POR-15 will dry. WEAR PROTECTIVE GLOVES ! Clean-up with lacquer thinner, cheaper than the POR-15 solvent.
