So I've consulted my Bentley, searched the archives (did not find anything), but I can't find anymore info on adjusting my rear hatch. The beltline does not match (hatch is about 1/2 lower) and the whole thing seems to stick out 1/4 to 1/2 inch. Here's what I've done so far and it did make things better than what they were. 1. Screwed in the two stoppers at the bottom 2. Moved striker latch in 3. Loosened hinge bolts and lifted hatch and tightened It seems I'm at the end of the adjustment range, is there a trick to this that I'm missing? It bugs me everytime I look back there. Is there some sort of damage that the hinges may have suffered at the hands of the PO that would cause this. Could it be an older hatch? Am I crazy does everyone's van suffer from this? There's only one other van in my area and I've seen it on the road every 6 months or so. |
