Before tapping up on it with a rubber mallet, wiggle the entire piece and then spray WD40 the entire length along the beading. Then wiggle and spray it again. This should do the trick unless the body was repainted over the bead. If it was, you might need to slice the paint along the bead carefully with a razor blade.
