John,

Soak that puppy with WD40 for a while. Make several applications along the bead through the day, letting it soak in between. Be sure and wipe up any excess that might run down the side of the vehicle. Keep the paint clean where it runs. Place a block of wood firmly against the end of the panel, and bump the block with a hammer to slide the panel to one side to clear the mounting tabs where the screws were. Once clear, then use the wood block on the bottom side of the panel and bump one end up, then the other. This should get it to move for you.

I have two 88 GL's. Works on them.

Good Luck,

John Rodgers 88 GL Driver
