Luckily I live in the 'next town over' - I'm picking up my new/rebuilt transaxle from Daryl on Saturday (of course w/the .77 4th also). Can't wait for Tuesday's install! By the way, I'm also going to try out the Gene Berg short shift kit - I'll put that in AFTER the transaxle is in and all the kinks worked out. Daryl's been in the local VW business for a LONG time! My first recollection is his shop used to take care of my best friend's mom's '79 Rabbit...when it was new! Oops, sorry Daryl...I meant '99 Rabbit...ah, no that wouldn't fly either with those is the VW know...dang. If my English was better, i would elaborateon how i feel about people who know what they are doing and how fine theirwork is. Lately, we were in need of a trany, emergency/FAST! In only 3-4 days!!!! atrany was at my door, the trany was for my EX brother in law, the one thatthelp me in the past few months, he left Montreal 10 days ago, he is now3500 miles away in norther Alberta, everything went smooth, including thenewly rebuilt trany. In french, we call that "Good Service", i'm not sure how you would say so inEnglish, but i'm sure you do understand!
