Subject: Re: How much life in a Factory Rebuild
Comments: To: Camins Bretts <cunegonde.van.westfalia@GMAIL.COM>

Bretts, go to a dealer, have them order a 750+$ rebuilt head, look at it! It's a REBUILT head, no more, not new at all, some have poor repair/filling, for way less, you can buy NEW AMC heads, for a bit more money, you buy them from B.Bob or other that take care of the poor valves proplem on those heads and you get VERY BRAND NEW semi Spanish/german head.

Now, here come my job, putting everything together! re-sealing heads/engine the RIGHT way! checking every componants AROUND the engine, believe me, that kind a job can be EASILY done poorly. An installer job is as important as an engine rebuilder, even more crucial sometime. So like someone posted. Cumming Canada was the one doing the job for VW for a long time. were they good... i don't know!

Now, ask B.Bob or other if he is shaking (he he he) when he doesn't know who will install is fully rebuilt engine!!! how will be the FI system shape, how will be the coolant system!

I have already heard that story from some of my customers, 3 set of heads/gasket in one year, who was the young guy at the VW dealer working on those van/engine!

Now, sorry to say, you bought/have in your hand i high maintenance van! And that cost MONEY and/or time!

Cheers, Ben
