Nice long weekend, so decided to take a crack at the leaky propane regulator on Lola. The old regulator is mounted in a box held on by four sheetmetal screws that was easy to remove from the van. I can see that the new regulator is at least an inch longer than the old one (which I expected, after reading the archives). So obviously the new regulator is not going to fit in that box. I sort of anticipated this and ordered the new regulator that can be installed with the vent pointing down, which wouldn't require the box. So now I am trying to figure out a way to mount the new regulator (how to support it). The lines going in and out are flexible (rubber?). Any thoughts on this?

Thanks,

Ellen Lola, '85 Vanagon ASI
