Subject: Re: Propane regulator replacement on ASI conversion

Wow......I don't have a Westy and I didn't know they rigged them like that. But, as a 30 year oil and gas person, experience says this is not a good installation. On my Adventurewagen (looks just like that ASI set-up,)it is isolated by a hose on the inlet and the outlet and sits neatly inside its box. On the BBQ, sitting on the porch, that's an ok install, but going down the road at highway speed and occasionally offroad, I would have it the other way. So, after all that, I bet all will chime in that they have never had this fitting break off at the tank! Ha!Perhaps that brass fitting is short enough that it is not an issue. Cheers. Miguel
