If so, they're using Westies. We saw three separate ones in addition to another one from Virginia. Interestingly, the only Quebec plates we saw were on these Vanagons so another question is, do only Westy drivers come here from Quebec?

We spoke with Marc and Silva (sp?) from Montreal about their two week trip along the East Coast and noted some of the mods to their van. Also saw a hardtop Syncro and what might have been a Syncro Westy.

Our own mods worked, for the most part. Fridge still won't start on propane, but the cupholders, new fluorescents, closet sliding door and soundproofing are all successful. The cheapo R-134A conversion is not a tremendous success, but it was more comfortable using the A/C than having the windows open at 90F.

Stephen
