That's true, I did not do the home work first. I bought the BMW 2002 from
someone (who probably found it difficult to complete his conversion by getting
smog certified). I took it over and met smog referee appointments about half
a dozen times to only find that I pretty much had to restore everything back
to its original equipments. I had the original BMW block. Had I had a Chevy
engine swap then it might have been a different story.
Oh yeah I talked to the mechanic because he is my cousin and he has been
a smog licensed personnel over 20 years and he is a owner of a smog test station
and owner of a garage. It's natural for me to trust him for his words. I could
trust Stephen, if he were accessible to me at the time, but how would I know
if his words were more crdible than words from other mechanics I had dealt with
for my BMW conversion?
