Good to know. If it is an AC/heat unit I wonder how it deals with condensation without a fresh air source. Or maybe there is one and I just didn't see it. In my '82 van I have the under dash dealer aftermarket AC unit. Never been quite sure if it is the Behr unit. Doesn't have a label. Van came from Cali and the poor old air cooled engine just wasn't strong enough to deal with a compressor. Was disconnected when I bought it and I never hooked it up. Now that I've got a subie power plant I'm getting ready to reconnect it. Bought a new condenser/drier with about 3 times the btu of the original and should fit in front of the radiator. Cross your fingers. After that my next hurdle will be making sure the radiator fan comes on when the AC is on and running new hose and fittings to and fro the engine. Fun fun. Ryan |
