Subject: Factory aux. battery wiring diagram needed
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=iso-8859-1

Does anyone have a copy of the wiring diagram for the stock auxiliary battery in an 86 Wolfsburg Westfalia? I checked the Bently and see a diagram for a full camper, but I assume this setup is different.

I looked at the wiring while running a wire to the radio and I can see one wire running to the refrigerator socket on the passenger side seat pedestal. However, there is a second stock-looking wire that appears to run forward to the dash area. Perhaps this is simply one of the relay wires, but I was wondering if there was possibly a second circuit pre-wired that I could use for the radio.

Also, for those who have already hooked the stereo to the aux battery, did you wire the radio's "memory" circuit with the main battery so you don't loose power to the settings if the aux battery goes dead, or did you just wire the entire thing to the aux setup?

Thanks, Clint
